If you were on Bald Head Island on May 17 and were near East Beach around moonrise, you may have heard me and about 100 other people howling at the moon. Island Taxi and Shuttle Launches Memorial Day

A new taxi and shuttle service using electrically-powered vehicles will be in operation on Bald Head Island by Memorial Day this year. The “East Beach Shuttle” will operate from 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., seven days a week from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Rates are $10 per person for a daily pass.
