Bald Head Island Limited and Southern Living Present Roast and Toast On The Coast

Bald Head Island, NC - Bald Head Island Limited, in partnership with Southern Living, announces Roast and Toast on the Coast, a Southern Living inspired three-day event weekend at Cape Fear Station on Bald Head Island.

The event weekend is the kick off to the Southern Living Inspired Community at Cape Fear Station, a select group of specially designed homes available for purchase. The first Southern Living Inspired Home will be open for public tours beginning Oct. 10, and every weekend through Nov. 29, 2015. The inspired home is built by Whitney Blair Custom Homes, a recent winner of the Southern Living Builder of the Year award. Tickets are available for weekend events or home tours at www.RoastToastCoast.com. The neighborhood is located a short walk from the Atlantic Ocean, just above Cape Fear.

The weekend kicks off Friday night with Southern Living Inspired events including a traditional oyster roast at the Bald Head Island Club or a four-course wine dinner by Southern Living Test Kitchen Chef Director Robby Melvin and Shoals Club Executive Chef Chris Lubben.

Saturday starts the day with the ribbon cutting ceremony at the Southern Living Inspired Home in Cape Fear Station followed by public tours of the home. The afternoon continues on The Common at Cape Fear Station with wine, beer and spirits tastings followed by a savory roast pig dinner. The evening concludes with a concert under the stars by Nashville songwriters Rob Crosby, James Dean Hicks and Brett Jones. The weekend wraps up with a Sunday brunch and tours of the Southern Living Inspired Home.
