CottagesOn the East Beach of Bald Head Island, Captain Charlie's Station is a trio of historic cottages built in 1903 and named for the lighthouse keeper of the original Cape Fear Lighthouse, Charlie Swan. Swan lived in the cottages until his retirement in 1933. Today, the homes are available for rent to vacationers.
