Halloween Celebration
Halloween falls on a Saturday this year and the island will be teeming with ghosts and goblins over the weekend!
The next Howl at the Moon Sunset/Moonrise Party takes place on Halloween! It's also a Blue Moon, we'll gather as usual at Access 39, and we'll rope off a section of the beach and accept the first 50 attendees "inside the ropes". All other attendees should generously distance themselves along the expanse of East Beach. The Market's gloved and masked staff will be serving some of our delicious soup to those in the ropes. Due to continued Covid protocols, we will not be sharing appetizers amongst ourselves, but BYOB and bring your own appetizers for your own group. You'll enjoy the ancient melodies of our bagpiper as the sun sets, and the full golden Halloween moon will rise from the depths of the Atlantic at precisely 6:39pm.
The Club's traditional Trail of Terror event will now be replaced by the "Haunted Pools of Horror" on Halloween from 6:30-9pm. The event will take you on a spook-tacular trip through the pools, multi-purpose lawn and underneath Horizons - with tasty spooky treats along the way. Reservations are required - as are face masks, so call the club at 910-457-7300 to reserve your place.
A socially-distanced Trick-or-Treating will take place on Halloween, finishing with a Costume Crawl Contest at Noonie Doodles on Maritime Way. Anyone who would like to put their name on the list for handing out candy, please email Nicole Mohler at [email protected]. All candy should be prepackaged into goodies bags that can either be picked up off a table or dropped into a child’s bag without any cross touch contact. Trick or treating will take place from 1pm-3:30pm, and finish along Maritime Way with a socially distanced costume crawl down the street with the participating retailers. Noonie Doodles will have a photo booth for you to take pictures with your children, and will be awarding a prize for the best costume! You can also purchase prepackaged goodie bags at Noonie Doodles. Prices are $1.65 each or $3.25 for allergy friendly treats, and you can get a discount with orders of 10, 25, or 50 bags.
