FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4
Labor Day Oyster Roast

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5
Stuff the Bag Sale at Turtle Central Gift Shop
Sept. 5-7 | 10 a.m.–4:30 p.m. | Turtle Central (BHI Conservancy)
Each paying customer receives a reusable tote to fill while shopping throughout Turtle Central. Everything that fits in your tote is 40% off the regular price, while sale-marked items are 50% off the original price (some exclusions apply). Purchases support the Conservancy's mission of barrier island conservation, education and research.
Bald Head Island Artisans Show & Sale

Browse and shop handmade work from local island artisans during this annual Labor Day weekend tradition. It’s an opportunity to meet local artists and find one-of-a-kind pieces to take home.
Annual Duck Race
10:30 a.m. | Marina Park
Adopt a duck and cheer it on during the Old Baldy Foundation’s annual Duck Race. The winning duck earns its owner a $500 prize, while proceeds support the preservation and educational mission of the Old Baldy Foundation. You do not have to be present to win. Learn more
America 250: Battle of Fort George — Living History Celebration
2-8 p.m. | Old Baldy Lighthouse Grounds
Step back in time during a weekend-long commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Fort George. Presented by the Old Baldy Foundation and the North Carolina 4th of July Festival. Saturday’s events include living-history demonstrations and a movie projected on the lighthouse at sunset. Learn more and purchase tickets
Ibiza Nights Labor Day Celebration
5 p.m. | Shoals Club
Celebrate Labor Day weekend with the Shoals Club at Ibiza Nights, an evening inspired by the Mediterranean. The adults-only event features live music by The Drop, an all-white dress theme, signature cocktails and food stations.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6
America 250: Battle of Fort George & Block Party
Noon–6 p.m. | Old Baldy Lighthouse Grounds
The Labor Day weekend celebration of America 250 continues Sunday with a full afternoon of living history and festivities. The event includes encampments portraying North Carolina Continental troops and the British Army, battle re-enactments at noon and 3:30 p.m., interactive historical exhibits, food from Southern Smoke BBQ, regional beer and spirits, live music by DJ Fray and more. Labor Day Bottle Bingo
5 p.m. | Bald Head Bottle
Bald Head Bottle will mark the unofficial end of summer with an evening celebration featuring a special edition of Bottle Bingo. Guests can enjoy prizes for all ages, new-arrival wines, special cocktails, snacks and plenty of fun. Arrive early to find a seat before the games begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. Learn more
