Celebrating 20 Years of Haven Magazine

We’re so excited to unveil the 20^th anniversary issue of haven magazine, an annual guide to exploring the exceptional nature of Bald Head Island, N.C. Sharing the island’s many facets for two decades has been a true privilege for haven’s editors and contributors.

The 2023 installment of haven presents articles written by and about Bald Head Islanders who share a passion for this beautiful place. In this issue you’ll tour one of the island’s newest and most distinctive homes, meet a cadre of canines who love the island life, and learn about the Old Baldy Foundation’s exciting plans for a campus expansion.

We also feature insider recommendations on how to spend your island time, where to dine, and where to shop for that perfect souvenir or gift. You’ll be surprised by how many new shops and restaurants there are on the island now, in addition to the old favorites.
