Bald Head Island’s Easter Weekend Itinerary

Bald Head Island Easter Weekend

The first day of Spring is March 20th and Easter is right around the corner. April 1st is Easter Sunday and Bald Head Island has a weekend full of fun, outdoor events so you can enjoy the beautiful Spring weather. Your Bald Head Island Easter Weekend itinerary may look something like this.

You step off the ferry Thursday afternoon to find great weather and beautiful views. You’ve taken advantage of the “Find Your Haven on Bald Head Island” special and you are ready for a 5-night stay for the price of 4. Off to your beach vacation rental to get checked in, then maybe a bite to eat at Delphina Cantina along with their famous Mojito!

Friday is spent exploring the island. Perhaps a kayak or canoe ride through the creek. You’ll come within feet of egrets and herons while osprey circle overhead. Maybe a hike through the Maritime Forest Preserve where you can become one with nature. Feeling a little more adventurous? How about Stand Up Paddle Boarding or Kite Boarding? Skies the limit on Bald Head Island.

Saturday is laid-back living. You ride your bike to breakfast and then hit the beach. You may decide to set your book down and leave that beach chair you’ve been occupying for the last few hours for a walk down the pristine beach before your massage at Island Retreat Spa & Salon.

It’s Easter Sunday and the kids have been waiting all weekend for the Easter Egg Hunt. Bring your baskets behind the Clubhouse where the Easter Bunny himself will be. No need to register and no entrance fee. The fun starts at 9:00am!

If this is a kid-free vacation then, “Brunch Please!” Bald Head Island Club will be serving an amazing Easter Brunch from 11:00am-3:00pm. Breakfasts stations with made-to-order omelets, bacon, sausage, French toast, pastries and southern style grits. Carving stations with leg of lamb, honey glazed ham, and prime rib. Salad stations with chicken salad, tuna salad, Caesar salad and pasta salad. Seafood stations with shrimp, crab claws, oysters and more!

It’s now Sunday afternoon and there is no need to go back in and pack. You have a whole other day to explore the island, relax on the beach, take a bike ride, re-visit the spa or whatever else your heart desires. Take advantage of the “Find Your Haven4” special over Easter weekend and enjoy 6 days of spring on Bald Head Island!
