Something for Everyone in Bald Head Island

One of the best things about Bald Head Island is there is something for everyone to enjoy on their vacation. While many are attracted by the beauty, the seclusion, or the lack of automobiles, there is fun to be had by all in your group no matter their age or circumstances. If you are planning a Bald Head Island vacation, here are some things you can look forward to. 

Traveling with Kids: Along with miles of pristine beaches to play on and the maritime forests to explore, there are plenty of fun activities for kids throughout the year. During the summer, Bald Head Island Conservancy offers children’s camps that feature arts & crafts, science fun, crabbing, shell collecting and learning about the island’s unique ecosystem. The Shoal’s Club has family movies, volleyball, and bocce ball. They can also join Sea Turtle Patrol as they search for nesting sea turtles. Traveling Solo: Sometimes you just need some alone time and take a trip to get away from it ALL. We’ve been there! What can you enjoy on Bald Head Island if you are traveling solo? Traveling for Couples: Hit the courts with your partner and enjoy a fun tennis match at the Bald Head Island Club. To wind down after a game, you can get massages at Island Retreat and then dinner and drinks at Mojo’s on the Harbor. Take a couples’ bike ride (tandem bikes are available!) or explore the Maritime Forests. Rent a canoe or book a sailing lesson and enjoy an afternoon out on the water.
