The crowds are fewer, the temperatures cooler and the prices are lower for the fall season. Not to mention a full line of fall favorite events throughout the months of September and October.

A short ferry ride over to your beach front rental where your reserved golf cart is waiting. Yes, Bald Head Island is car-free which adds to the laid back lifestyle your about to embrace. Its 14 mile wide beach invites you to take a walk and catch the sunrise. Mornings and evenings in fall are cool, while the sun warms up the rest of the day. Allowing you to enjoy the sand and sea!

Bald Head Island’s natural environment inspires overall health and well-being. Wellness retreats give you an early start to resolutions. Offering a combination of nutrition and exercise guidance, you will be well on your way to a healthier you.

Foodies travel to Bald Head Island in fall for a weekend of Southern inspired food, drink and live music. Roast and Toast on the Coast takes place on October 7th through the 9th. A tasty oyster roast is prepared on the Bald Head Island Club veranda along with live music on Friday at 6:00pm or a Southern Living inspired dinner at the Shoals Club at 7:00pm.

The food festivities continue with a Tasting Event on The Commons at Cape Fear Station at 4:30pm where wine, craft beer and specialty cocktails paired with southern delicacies can be enjoyed. Live music under the stars shortly follows with “new grass” favorites. Then top this tasty weekend off with Sunday brunch at the Bald Head Island Club.

Whether you’re a snowbird looking to get out of the cold or a southerner looking for a change of season this is the ideal spot for you.  With perfect temperatures and plenty to do your fall retreat awaits in Bald Head Island!
