It’s open daily and is more than a simple grocery store. They offer fresh meat, seafood, produce, dairy, deli meats, and a full service café. 

Pro tip:  you can pre-order groceries and meals online and have them delivered to your vacation rental home. Grocery orders need to be placed 48 hours prior to your arrival. This ultra-convenient service costs merely $20 for orders $100 or less and 20% of orders over $100.

A Bit ‘o History

Maritime Market started as the Island Chandler store, which was the island’s only grocery store and was also a general store. In 2001 the market moved to Muscadine Wynd in the middle of the island. Current owners, Melissa and Claude Pope, were long-time visitors and have owned property on the island for well over a decade. Since purchasing the market in 2011, they’ve become full time residents.

Seasonal Hours

Like most of the island, Maritime Market adjusts their hours seasonally. Starting October 1, the market’s hours are from 8am to 6pm Monday through Saturday and 8am to 2pm Sunday. Breakfast is served until 10:30 with lunch and café pizza from 11:30am to 2pm. The ice cream shop is closed over the off-season.
