Shoals Club Prepares for a Busy 2013 Season
Posted on Friday, March 15, 2013
The Shoals Club may be closed for the season, but the atmosphere is busy as we make preparations for an outstanding 2013 season. We wanted to make you aware of a number of facility improvements that are scheduled to be completed prior to opening day on March 22.
Construction is well underway on a new lounging deck being constructed between the two pools. Along with providing space for additional seating, the area can serve as a stage for bands and DJ’s during special events.
Along the boardwalk that leads from the Shoals Club to the Point of Cape Fear, we’ve added a “spray off station” where you can rinse off your feet, beach chairs and sand toys before heading back to the Club after a day at the beach. We’ve also drained both pools and acid washed them, as we prepare to refinish all of the concrete pool deck and surrounding stucco. The pool area should be looking spotless the next time you visit!
In an effort to provide a more comfortable reception area for greeting our members and guests, we’re expanding the current Shoals Club offices by partially enclosing the adjacent porch. The renovation also gives us additional space to house the Events Division under one roof and seamlessly integrate this staff into the overall Shoals Club team.
Along with the physical improvements we’re making to the Shoals Club, the entire staff is evaluating ways we can continue to improve the Shoals Club experience for members and their guests. From our energetic recreation staff to our talented culinary team, we are excited about the new programs, special events and menu items we’ll be rolling out to members soon.
As always, we appreciate all suggestions and feedback from members. Please feel free to contact us at the email addresses below. We can’t wait to see you when the Shoals Club opens for the 2013 season!
