BHI Spring Lecture Series Continues with Lessons from Mother Nature

The Bald Head Island Conservancy’s Spring Lecture Series continues on Saturday, March 31 at the Fleming Environmental Center. The presentation, given by Donald R. Young, Ph.D., from Virginia Commonwealth University is entitled “Lessons from mother nature: can we build a better island?” The lecture will focus on Dr. Young’s research in barrier island dynamics and will address topics like managing for future global climate change and improved communication between policy makers and the public.

The event, which is free and open to all, kicks off at 3:30 p.m. with a wine and cheese social, with the lecture immediately following from 4-5 p.m.
