For centuries, seamen have used beacons to guide them safely through oceans, channels and rivers. While you won’t find treacherous waters in the marina at Bald Head Island, you will find the latest addition to a select portfolio of rental accommodations.
Positioned majestically across from the entrance to the marina and located in the heart of Harbor Village, Beacons Watch offers over more than 5,000 square feet with 10 bedrooms each with their own full bath, and open space for corporate group meetings.
The interior is a pleasant blend of West Indies and Carolina coastal décor featuring hardwood floors and elegant fabrics throughout.. Eight of the ten rooms are located in the main house. A handicap equipment suite featuring a king bed is located on the first floor.
The second floor offers a sitting area and five suites with king beds. On the third floor are two suites: one with a queen bed and daybed, and the other with a king bed- a great configuration for families traveling with small children. All suites in the home have balconies with lovely views of the harbor, and easterly facing rooms have a view of Old Baldy.
Adjoining the main house are two individually accessed crofter cottages each containing two twin beds, a full bath, and porch sitting area. The laundry facility has its own entrance at the back of the main house, and is more than ample for a home of this size.
As an added convenience a full bath is located on the first floor near the back door entrance.
A home this special wouldn't be complete without a gourmet kitchen and, true to the concept of self-catering, Beacons Watch offers a kitchen fit for a novice or professional chef.
A separate bar offers a perfect spot to chill and serve beverages of choice-iced, shaken or stirred. Individuals seeking privacy can retreat to their rooms and watch TV, or stream through the home’s Wi-Fi. A host of activites are within walking distance, including sailing, paddle boarding, and kayaking, or you can hop on one of the property's several golf carts to tool around the harbor.
History buffs can see Old Baldy from easterly facing rooms. As a premier property, Beacons Watch is among the finest homes on Bald Head Island.
