Memberships in the Bald Head Island Club, the Shoals Club, the Bald Head Island Yacht Club and the Indigo Plantation Yacht Club complements the way of life at these premier residential and second home communities.

Membership in each of these distinguished clubs is now handled by one centralized Membership Sales Office. For the convenience of visitors and residents, the newly constructed Membership Sales Office is located harbourside on Keelson Row, adjacent to the new marina bathhouse. Bald Head Island Club
Conveniently located on South Bald Head Wynd, the esteemed Bald Head Island Club is the center of the island’s social activity. The Club’s considerable offerings include an 18-hole golf course, two croquet greenswards, four tennis courts, a swimming pool, a pro shop, a fitness room and an elegant clubhouse with a dining room, lounge, and members-only grille. Bald Head Island Club membership also opens the door for membership in the Shoals Club, the oceanfront pavilion that will overlook the point of Cape Fear.

Shoals Club
Completed in 2004, the Shoals Club is an oceanfront clubhouse with a casual restaurant and bar, shower and locker facilities, swimming pools and direct beach access. From this incredible site along South Beach, near the majestic point of Cape Fear, members will be treated to dramatic views of Frying Pan Shoals, as well as the sun both rising and setting over the ocean. An activities staff offers Shoals Club members a variety of recreational opportunities for children, teens and adults.

Bald Head Island Yacht Club
The protected, 10-acre harbour of Bald Head Island Marina is homeport to the Bald Head Island Yacht Club, and it offers members the full complement of boating amenities, as well as front-door access to the extraordinary pleasures of the island.

The Bald Head Island Marina accommodates yachts to 94 feet, with an eight-foot draft at MLW. The ice-free basin features a lighted entrance channel, 30-, 50-, and 100-amp electric hook-ups, gas and diesel fuel, and cable access. The harbour is located adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway, at the mouth of the Cape Fear River.

Members in the Bald Head Island Yacht Club enjoy exclusive use of a boat slip in the Bald Head Island Marina, a privilege you can pass down to future generations. Slips associated with membership in the Bald Head Island Yacht Club range from 30 feet to 60 feet. Membership dues cover the cost of water, electricity and pump-out facilities, as well as reserves for dock replacement and dredging.

Yacht Club Members may also purchase valuable Bald Head Island Club and Shoals Club memberships, providing full access to both clubs’ extensive recreational amenities.

Indigo Plantation Yacht Club
Tucked into a quiet corner of idyllic Southport, N.C., the Indigo Plantation Marina is not only the mainland embarkation point to beautiful Bald Head Island, it’s the homeport of the Indigo Plantation Yacht Club.

Strategically located along the Intracoastal Waterway, near the confluence of the Cape Fear River and Atlantic Ocean, the Indigo Plantation Marina is a well-protected, ice-free basin that can accommodate boats up to 70 feet with seven-foot draft at MLW. Access to some of the East Coast’s finest fishing grounds is immediate, with Frying Pan Shoals and the Gulf Stream off shore.
