“The setting
for these enchanting homes is Cape Fear Station, the newest neighborhood
on the east end of Bald Head Island, North Carolina. With walkways,
picket fences, and cart paths, the development reflects the style
of quaint seaside towns from long ago. Unpopulated beaches, a maritime
forest preserve, and tidal creeks add to the island’s appeal.”

Cape Fear Station combines exceptional natural surroundings with
an equally exceptional, environmentally sensitive land plan.
Bordered by more than 10,000 acres of preserved land on all sides—
including verdant tidal creeks and salt marsh to the north, undulating
dunes and forest surrounding Cape Fear Point to the east and south,
and rare maritime forest to the west—Cape Fear Station is
sited around and within an incredible geographic phenomenon.
Located at the heart of the community, a village green known as
The Common at Cape Fear Station provides a gathering place for neighborly
interaction and social events. The Common is designed as a rectangular
outdoor “room,” with a rolling floor of live oaks and
lawn, a ceiling of blue sky overhead, and metaphorical walls created
by the two-story homes along its perimeter.
Throughout Cape Fear Station, a series of sidewalks and alleys
connect the homes to each other, and to all the amenities within
and surrounding the neighborhood— most notably, the Shoals
Club. Moreover, every Cape Fear Station home is, at most, a short
walk to a spectacular ocean beach.
