The Embers Heat Up Annual Labor Day Party

More than 500 islanders and guests who attended the Texas Bar-B-Q on Bald Head Island during Labor Day weekend were treated to a terrific evening of hot barbecue and even hotter tunes by Carolina favorites, The Embers.

The idyllic setting for this informal family event was the island's Harbourside Pavilion, located along beautiful Bald Head Creek underneath the shadow of Old Baldy Lighthouse. Adults danced the night away and enjoyed the sunset while kids were entertained by a jumping castle and games. In addition, a raffle benefiting the Old Baldy Foundation left many guests ending the night as prize winners.

The event proved to be so popular, plans are already underway for next year's repeat performance.
