Latest Addition to Ensemble of Island's Retail Offerings, Canopy Outfitters is a Perfect Fit
Opened in May of 2007, Canopy Outfitters is proving to be an ideal complement to the various retail offerings on Bald Head Island. Located in 3500 square feet of the Crew's Quarters building on Maritime Way, Canopy Outfitters sells casual resort wear for men, women and children, including t-shirts, sweatshirts, bathing suits, shoes, sunglasses and jewelry.
Canopy Outfitters is owned by Harper Peterson and Plunkett Dodge, a husband and wife team that has been in business on Bald Head Island since the 1980s. The couple's former Island Passage location near the harbour has been converted to Riverside Adventure Company, offering recreational equipment rentals and souvenirs. Their Maritime Passage boutique, also on Maritime Way, continues to sell finer resort wear for women and men.
Canopy Outfitters is expected to remain open throughout the winter months, giving shoppers a great reason to stop by for holiday gifts, stocking stuffers and early selections on great Spring Break attire.
