As 2008 marks the 25th anniversary of the Mitchell family's purchase of the undeveloped portions of Bald Head Island, the year has been one that reflects a renewed commitment to its responsible development and stewardship by Bald Head Island Limited.
To this day, the Mitchells remain true to their vision of creating a viable premier island community where people may live in harmony with nature and each other.
To truly appreciate the island for what it is, one must take time to reflect on its colorful past and rich history. Throughout the years, with all of its changes, the island remains true to itself, as one of the last unspoiled cape islands on the East Coast.
