Not only does Bald Head Island intrinsically provide natural and historical wonders to explore, but you can also enjoy the considerable manmade amenities and activities of the Bald Head Island Club, Shoals Club, Bald Head Island Yacht Club, Bald Head Island Sailing club, Indigo Plantation Yacht Club and Deep Point Yacht Club.
Bald Head Island Club
With its shingle-style exterior and spacious verandah, the Bald Head Island Club's presence is both stately and welcoming. Recreational amenities include golf, tennis, croquet and swimming.
Bald Head Island Yacht Club
Membership in the BHI Yacht Club includes exclusive use of a boat slip in the island's 10-acre protected harbour with accommodations for yachts up to 100' with 7' draft at MLW.
Shoals Club
In the tradition of the large pavilions that once anchored the social life of many 19th-century beach towns, the Shoals Club on Bald Head Island serves as a place for families and neighbors to come together and enjoy traditional seaside pastimes.
Indigo Plantation Yacht Club
Located in Southport along the Intracoastal Waterway, the Indigo Plantation Marina is a three-acre protected harbour with an ice-free basin that accommodates boats with a 7' draft at MLW.
Deep Point Yacht Club
Opening in 2009, the Deep Point Marina is an ice free basin with a lighted entrance channel located in Southport, NC, along the Cape Fear River.
