Smith Island Art League of Bald Head Island Show and Sale

The Smith Island Art League of Bald Head Island will hold its annual Memorial Day weekend art show and sale on Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25, 2014 at the BHI Association Center, 111 Lighthouse Wynd (to the right of the Chapel).  The show is open to the public with free admission from 10 am – 5 pm each day.  For more information, contact Jane Johnson (910) 457-6229 or jjatbhi@bellsouth.net   The Art League’s members offer a variety of styles and mediums which include ceramics, oil and watercolor paintings, cards, prints, jewelry, fabric art, stained glass and more at the 2 day show.

Island Retreat Spa and Salon is pleased to announce a very special visit by certified Reiki Master and Healing Touch practitioner Debby Stein, who will be offering appointments for three days only on Bald Head Island, May 28-30. Debby is an expert in her field and we are so excited to offer her services at Island Retreat. Her primary goal with clients during Energy Sessions is to promote relaxation and reduce stress, so that the body can heal itself more efficiently. A one-hour session is $95.   On Tuesday, May 27, All About Art owners Joyce Nelson and Sue Prendergast will host a discussion group from 6-8 p.m. at the gallery so you can meet Debby, learn more about her skills and techniques, and have any questions answered.
