This special tour is offered every Thursday in June, July, & August. Enjoy the dimly lit tower and the muted sunset views of Southport, Oak Island, and the surrounding waters. Howl At The MoonStart: July 02, 2015 - 7:00 PM End: July 02, 2015 - 9:00 PM   Sunset: 8:26pm Moonrise: 8:53pm An Island tradition for several years running, the Maritime Market hosts the largest beach party each month when the full moon rises out of the Atlantic Ocean. The "Howl" party (as it's called by the locals) happens on East Beach Access 39, and attendees BYOB and bring appetizers to share. The Market brings huge pots of soup and some appetizers to share as well. When the Moon rises, the entire throng of attendees breaks into a collective "howl!" A bonfire is usually blazing and the event draws hundreds. Free and open to all.

BHI Conservancy Annual Picnic

Tickets are now on sale at Turtle Central and the Market for the Conservancy's Annual Picnic!!  Tickets are only $15, and this island tradition will happen on Thursday, July 2, from 3-7pm, with loads of activities for the kids, music, craft beer, a Silent Auction, and much more.  The Conservancy is raffling a new golf cart, and Chef Chip and his staff will be preparing the picnic spread of our fresh ground hamburgers, all-beef hot dogs, cole slaw, and Chef Chip's famous baked beans :)  Meanwhile, Vivian di Rivero is organizing the Silent Auction for this year, and is seeking items to auction.  They may be new items, antiques, or services such as dinners, fishing trips, boat rides and vacation rentals.   All items need to be committed by June 26, so please contact Vivian at 910-454-0764 or email her at vividerivero@gmail.com

The "Howl" party (as it's called by the locals) happens on East Beach Access 39, and attendees BYOB and bring appetizers to share. The Market brings huge pots of soup and some appetizers to share as well. When the Moon rises, the entire throng of attendees breaks into a collective "howl!" A bonfire is usually blazing and the event draws hundreds. Free and open to all
