Recreation Assistant Seasonal Full Time
GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
Provides customer service, sells merchandise, operates cash register and processes credit card payments.
Responsible for monitoring towel station operations and the towel inventory.
Assists in preparing pool for daily opening and closing.
Performs pool maintenance and assists with maintaining swimming pools. Ensures that pools and surrounding recreational facilities are clean and safe for use.
Assists in monitoring Shoals Club Beach areas, including chairs and umbrellas for daily
opening /closing procedures and operations throughout the day.
Keeps various statistics such as inventory of crafts purchased, chairs, umbrellas, towels, and pool chemicals.
Enforces pool rules and regulations. Monitors and coordinates pool activities. Ensures that pool patrons follow rules and regulationsChecks club memberships at front entrance of the Shoals Club.
Responsible for knowing and providing information to customers about daily, weekly and monthly activities.
Administers first aid
Performs general policing of pools and surrounding facilities
Performs related work as required
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE High School diploma or ability to read and write English with some experience as a lifeguard preferred. Knowledge of recreation programs and/or working with children preferred or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowlege, and abilities necessary to perform the job.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT (S)
Possession of a valid North Carolina driver's license.
Basic First Aid training and CPR certification.
