GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
Under direct supervision, performs tasks to assist kitchen staff and wait personnel in satisfying guests by ensuring that all food is served in an efficient manner and provides other items to guests as requested. Tasks may include the effective communication of special orders, items that are not available, and menu items that become available. Keeps track of server’s order tickets and coordinates the timing and serving of food especially when multiple guests are seated at the same table. Provides service support as needed
to assigned personnel. Reports to the Restaurant Manager.

Garnishes the dishes as needed and ensures that the food is cooked properly and arranged on the plates in an appealing manner.
Prioritizes tickets to arrive roughly in the order they were taken.
In charge of preparing and/or delivering side items such as condiments, beverages, bread, salads or desserts. May also assist service personnel in completing required side duties.
Responsible in upkeep and maintenance of work station and assists in dining areas as well as ensuring selected kitchen areas are properly cleaned as designated by North Carolina Health Department regulations.
Assists with end of shift cleaning tasks for kitchen and wait staff.
Performs other related work as required and assists wait staff with service needs.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Some restaurant service experience is preferred to provide the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
Must be at least 18 years of age. Requires the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
