Under general supervision, mixes and serves alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons and/or wait staff according to standard recipes as well as orders and presents food to lounge patrons. Reports to the Restaurant Manager.
Ensure patrons satisfaction by handling bar transactions in a fast, efficient, and friendly manner.
Mixes ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks; serves wine and draught or bottled beer.
Orders and presents appetizers or meals to lounge patrons.
Orders liquor, beer, soda products, and other supplies; keeps inventory of same items as a means of control and needs assessment.
Efficiently operate an electronic cash register. (RTP)
Operates lounge area in accordance with Alcohol and Law Enforcement regulations and keeps appropriate records.
Prepares fruit and/or other condiments for the garnishing of drinks.
Washes glasses and maintains a clean bar area.
Presents check and accepts payment when appropriate.
Stocks wines, beer, and liquor.
Makes appropriate mixes and have them prepared daily, i.e., Bloody Mary mix.
Arranges bottled goods and glasses to make attractive displays.
Sweeps and mops nightly.
Ensures that all recyclable items are disposed of in accordance with NC ABC laws
Performs other related work as required.
Graduation from high school or equivalent, one year of experience as a bartender and possess good oral communication skills; or an equivalent combination of training and experience to provide the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT (S)
Requires the ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work. This type of work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
