The May issue of Our State magazine paid homage to Bald Head Island with two great articles.
"The Quiet Wild" is a breathtaking, 24-page photo essay that explores the beautiful environments and friendly faces of Bald Heads Island. See if you recognize any of your favorite island places or smiling faces.
"The Generator Society" tells the story of the 19 families who came to settle on Bald Head in the 1970s, before there was a ferry or roads or electricity. This compelling and well written story is a must read for anyone interested in BHI history.
