Bald Head Island's newest restaurant, Delphina, is now open in the former River Pilot location in the BHI Marina. Delphina, described a New World Cantina, serves authentic and original Mexican cuisine with a Cuban and Spanish flair. Executive chef Carlos Rojas created the menu using his most treasured and favorite family recipes.
The diverse menu features interesting small plates like Crab Salad Stuff Avocados and Mexican Bruschetta as well as old favorites like nachos and chips with your choice of salsa, guacamole or queso. Tacos come with a variety of fillings: pulled pork, shrimp with jicama and watercress, carne asada and fish with mango pico. Cuban sandwiches, quesadillas and a variety of salads offer lighter choices. Entrees include Tilapia a la Veracruzana, Spaghetti a la Poblana with Grilled Chicken Enchilado and Curracso Cubano, or marinated flank steak. A kids' menu is also available. Delphina is open for lunch, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and starting May 15
they'll be open for lunch and dinner, from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m.
