Memorial Day Weekend on Bald Head Island

Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial kick-off to summer. What better way to start your summer than a weekend getaway to Bald Head Island! Here’s a look at a few fun events throughout Memorial Day weekend. 

On Saturday, May 25, kick-off Memorial Day weekend with Music on the Terrace and a la carte dining. Celebrate with a delicious buffet and loads of entertainment at Bald Head Island Club’s Palms Terrace. The Chef’s special will include Crab Legs, Prime Rib and Lobster! Enjoy live music by Dos Eddies.

Shoals Club kicks-off summer with a full day of fun in the sun! On Sunday, May 26, meet for a beach run at 9am, then at noon get ready for a party at the pool. Make a splash while the DJ spins some rockin’ tunes! 

Swing back by Bald Head Island Club on Sunday, May 26, for a Memorial Day Celebration behind the clubhouse. A delicious buffet and loads of entertainment await. Enjoy live music by the five-piece, high-energy band, Lucky Pocket. Kids activities include battle ball contests, cornhole matches, face painting and balloon animal stations!

On Monday, May 27, a traditional Memorial Day Service will be held on Old Baldy Grounds. The ceremony will honor all branches of the military. Visit North Carolina’s oldest standing lighthouse for this special occasion.
