Bald Head Blues: Sporting the Casual BHI Look
For more 25 years, the Pope family has enjoyed the wonder and solace of Bald Head Island. Owners of the Maritime Market and the force behind the popular monthly Howl at the Moon parties, the Popes also own Bald Head Blues, a shop that features what they call "clothing for coasting." Inspired by the many pastimes that make life on the island so much fun, from kayaking & fishing to turtle walks, golf, tennis or just walking along the beach at sunset, the Bald Head Blues brand mirrors that island lifestyle.
The idea for the brand came from this unique island lifestyle, which itself is defined by the simplicity and genius of “golf cart only” mobility. Even a quick ride to the beach becomes an adventure when islanders load their carts with beach chairs, surfboards and umbrellas. The Bald Head Blues logo is inspired by this tradition, and the “Clothing for Coasting” motto is derived from ‘coasting around in the golf cart’ on the coast of North Carolina.
Bald Head Blues is located next to the Maritime Market and features mens and womens casual apparel (including lots of great branded pieces featuring the cute cart logo), needlepointed flip flops and belts, hats and more. A full catalog of merchandise is available on their website, and online ordering is available.
