Seagrove Potter Added to This Weekend’s NC Wine & Food Weekend

This whimsical piece, titled Alice Goes to Hollywood is from Carol Gentithes.

The weather for this weekend’s  NC Wine & Food Weekend on Bald Head Island, is looking picture-perfect. Several NC wineries will be attendance as well as artists displaying their crafts at the Open Air Market on Saturday, October 15.

Carol Gentithes, a Seagrove, NC artist and potter, will participate in the Open Air Market in Harbour Village on Saturday, October 15. Her pottery of animals is unique and whimsical. She was one of 120 artists selected to exhibit at the 27th annual Smithsonian Craft Show and has been in numerous museums and various collections across the country.

Weekend highlights include Friday night’s kickoff event, NC Uncorked, from 5-11 p.m at the Harbourside Pavilion. Join participating wineries for tastings, food and live entertainment. On Saturday, don’t miss the Open Air Market in Harbour Village from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., which will feature North Carolina food, produce, art, beer and of course, wine. Also on Saturday afternoon, The Hammocks, Bald Head Island’s premier shared ownership community, is holding an Open House with NC wine, beer and delicacies.
