This cleverly designed cottage features a reverse floor plan and sweeping ocean views from the second-floor living area and deck. 2023 has brought a new style and flare to this much-sought-after beach home. During the winter and spring months of 2022-2023, renovations were completed to include a new kitchen, expansion of the second-floor deck as well and changed interiors. Isle Be Back (formally Laurie's Loft) is a refreshing vacation experience. During the winter months of 2024/2025 a two-story deck on the West side of the home with a spiral staircase connecting the two decks will offer additional outdoor gathering space.

The new kitchen boasts new appliances, and an island and will be fully equipped ready for guests to cook up their favorite dishes. The ocean view was enhanced with new accordion doors to the newly expanded front porch just off the living room. The new outdoor shower area is an excellent place to wash off the beach sand.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON THE CLUBS OF BALD HEAD ISLAND: The Bald Head Island Club and the Shoals Club are independent from Intracoastal Realty. As such, all arrangements for temporary memberships, if available with the home you rent, must be handled by renters directly with the Clubs. Renters are strongly encouraged to make desired reservations with The Bald Head Island Club and/or the Shoals Club immediately upon booking a rental stay, and also to become familiar with club's policies, procedures, and schedules. Space and hours are limited for renter temporary club guest members.

Bald Head Island Club and Shoals Club fees are NOT included in the rental quote or price paid. Listed below you will find access eligibility for each club. If access is available through the home you are renting, then you may purchase a temporary membership by contacting the club(s) directly.

Much needed get away

Overall Comment

My experience was great. It was an easy transaction, the rental company was very informative, they used an APP to assist with the routine questions, provided daily updates etc.

The house was neat and tidy. I felt safe and I felt at home.

There were a few small things that the rental company may need to check:
1. Front door lock and the garage lock were very hard to use, it may need to be lubricated
2. Since it’s an island there are pests that like to make appearances, the cleaning crew should pay attention to bug carcasses when cleaning
3. There were no lights in the garage, that could be a safety issue
4. The final item, there was a fire on the island, several houses were damaged, the property team should have provided an update and reassurance to the renters that their rentals were ok and the fire was contained and reassuring that the island was safe, the rental property was not near the fire and was not damaged....bottom line there should have been a notice other than the a news blurb.

Overall Comment

Had a great 2 week vacation with all of our older kids coming and going as their schedules allowed. It was great to be together. There are no houses between you and the beach so the view is AMAZING!The pest control maintenance needs increased, the air conditioning struggled to keep the house a comfortable temperature because the weather was so hot. But we had a great time.
