Bald Head Island Club

The Bald Head Island Club offers members and guests an array of activities for the entire family, year round. Situated on the south side of the island, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Cape Fear River, the Club’s location provides an uncommon opportunity to see the sun rise and set over the water.

The Bald Head Island Club is best known for its world-class golf course. This newly renovated, 18-hole course can be challenging, but more importantly, it offers the player an insider’s view of the island. It’s not rare to see a gator sunning itself, ospreys flying overhead, or egrets, fox and deer running across the fairway. The golf shop sells apparel, equipment and much more, while the club’s professional golf staff offers private lessons, clinics and activities year round.

More than just golf, the Club offers a complete fitness center with the newest, most modern equipment, an aquatics center (open and heated seasonally April through October), tennis, children’s summer activities and croquet. Several dining venues host a la carte dining, banquet and meeting space, wedding receptions, as well as special events for the family, including the Independence Day Family Seafood Festival.

The Grille is a great choice to dine if you’re looking for fresh seafood entrees, steaks, salads, and more. The Palms is more casual, offering a tavern-like feel. The Palms menu offers appetizers, sandwiches, and great drink specials.

The Club’s four tennis courts are the place to be in the spring, summer and fall. The professional tennis staff offers clinics, private lessons, racket restringing and a pro shop with the latest tennis apparel and equipment. Nearby is the 25-yard pool complete with a slide that kids can’t resist. The pool may be open seasonally, but the poolside Pelicatessen is open daily year round, and features breakfast, lunch and dinner.
